Northern Shield Resources Inc. Rated 'Speculative Buy' by Investrend Affiliate eResearch Analyst, Target Set at C$0.60


NEW YORK, Dec. 02, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The following is an investment opinion issued by Investrend Research Syndicate:

Analyst Ron Wortel of Investrend Research affiliate eResearch, rated Northern Shield Resources Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange:NRN) "Speculative Buy" in an initiating report and set a price target at C$0.60.

In the Report, which is free for a limited period of time on eResearch's website www.eresearch.ca and http://www.investrendresearch.com, the analyst commented on the Company's projects: "The Company is exploring northern Ontario for both diamond bearing kimberlites and platinum group element (PGE) deposits. Northern Shield's four diamond projects include: Faint Hope, Waxatike River, Friday Creek and Bradley Township. Northern Shield holds a 100% interest in all these projects though Orezone Resources is earning a 50% option on the Waxatike property."

Commenting on the Company's drilling plans, the analyst added: "Success in diamond exploration to the north of their (Northern Shield's) projects resulted in the discovery of DeBeers' Victor pipe and more recently a kimberlite was intersected by the Metalex/Artic Star group," and "Exploration success in diamonds in northern Ontario has led to significant market valuations for the companies involved as illustrated by Metalex and Artic Star."
