PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 10, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- December 31, 2003 will end in sparkling delight as Philadelphia's 13th annual free New Year's Eve fireworks show is presented by The Delaware River Port Authority. The New Year's Eve Party on Ice will take place from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. at the Blue Cross RiverRink on Festival Pier at Penn's Landing, Columbus Boulevard and Spring Garden Street.
Seen easily on both sides of the Delaware River at midnight, the twenty minute-show of colorful magic will include special effects on the Ben Franklin Bridge. The fireworks will be synchronized to music by Mix 95.7. The fireworks will also be broadcast on NBC 10 for television viewers.
There are many outstanding locations for viewing the fireworks on both sides of the Delaware River highlighted by the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing and Wiggins Park on the Camden Waterfront.
The New Year's Eve Party on Ice at the Blue Cross RiverRink is a grand night for families and adults alike. Added to regular skate sessions all day and night is a special skating session from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. This is the best non-alcoholic party in the city featuring food, great music, and a perfect spot to view the fireworks - right on the ice!
