IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, Dec. 12, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intrepid Technology and Resources, Inc. a renewable energy company (OTCBB:IESV) has received additional contract awards in the amount of $147,000 which are in addition to the previously announced, November 18, 2003, $680,000 from Bechtel Babcock Wilcox, Portage Environmental, Oak Ridge Associated Universities and others. These new contracts continue to show the vigorous growth trend of the company and the crucial quality of the firms working partners.
Dr. Dennis Keiser, in making the new contract win announcement also stated that the company's Biogas development in South central Idaho could potentially be the largest component of the companies revenue stream in the coming years. Dr. Keiser noted that billions of tons of waste are produced from food processing operations and animal feeding in the U.S. each year that could be converted into methane gas through anaerobic digestion. Dr. Keiser has stated that it is estimated that the methane generation capacity of this waste could provide enough energy to equal the total annual US energy consumption.
