Northrop Grumman Receives Kennedy Space Center Contract from InDyne


HERNDON, Va., Dec. 19, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Information Technology (IT) sector has been awarded a subcontract by InDyne, Inc., McLean, Va., to support NASA at the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Northrop Grumman IT will provide logistics, quality assurance, safety and IT security to prime contractor InDyne in support of NASA's Kennedy Integrated Communications Services (KICS) contract. The company expects to hire an additional 23 employees at Kennedy Space Center to support this five-year subcontract.

This subcontract further underscores Northrop Grumman IT's 20-year history of working with NASA. The company has contributed to many NASA programs -- from the Hubble Space Telescope to the International Space Station to develop technologies needed for tomorrow's "spacecraft on a chip." Northrop Grumman IT also supplies the complete range of operations, engineering, and logistics services needed to support NASA's many facilities.

The KICS contract supports three key programs: the International Space Station program; Payload Carriers and Launch Services Program Office Payloads; and the Space Shuttle program.

Northrop Grumman IT's share of the contract value over the five-year term is estimated at $7.5 million.
