PracticeXpert Completes Interface with NextGen EPM

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- PracticeXpert, Inc. (OTCBB:PXPT), today announced that it has completed the interface of its PXpert(tm) Revenue Management System with NextGen(r) Enterprise Practice Management ("NextGen EPM").

NextGen EPM is an enterprise solution, which features a diverse range of functionalities designed to meet practices' billing, reporting, registration and scheduling needs. Additionally, NextGen EPM's exclusive Worklog Manager enables providers to automatically assign routine tasks to staff members for completion.

Commenting on the completion of the interface, Mr. Zima Hartz, Executive Vice President of PracticeXpert, Inc. stated, "We have reached a significant milestone in the deployment of the PXpert system. Our largest division operates the NextGen software, and therefore it was logical that we should focus on interfacing PXpert with NextGen as a priority. Further, given NextGen's outstanding reputation as a leader in electronic medical records ("EMR") and practice management systems, the pairing of our PXpert Revenue Management System with NextGen will allow us to offer to our many physician customers what we believe to be the premier outsourced medical billing and practice management solution available today."

Mr. Hartz continued, "Operationally we expect this interface to have a significant impact on labor efficiency. Since deploying PXpert with many of our physician customers we have witnessed both a significant reduction in errors on claims processed, and an increase in the speed in which claims were processed, and paid. All of these benefits accrued primarily to our physician customers. However, because the interface with NextGen was not completed, we still experienced a data-entry bottleneck, as data was manually transferred from PXpert to NextGen. That bottleneck will now be eliminated, allowing us to redeploy our data entry staff to more productive revenue generating activities. The result should be a significant increase in our operating margins."
