Unleashing Hell's Bells -- New Martial Arts Novel Follows Courageous Young Man Battling Inner and Outer Demons

SUDBURY, Ontario, January 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Heartbroken and ashamed, Tommy Williams goes halfway around the world to escape his home and find a new life. Lin Damboise tells this character's story of shame and redemption in his new novel, Hell's Bells (The Story) (now available through 1stBooks).

Damboise spins a tale of love, rejection, martial arts, drugs and retribution in his new novel. Hell's Bells follows the exploits of Tommy Williams, a young man who loves his girlfriend, Jenny, deeply. When that love culminates in heartbreak, Tommy disappears in the night, leaving no trace. He travels halfway around the world, ending up in Japan. He meets Master Yamaguchi on the streets, and his life changes for the better.

The master gives him work, and the two grow close. He takes the boy in and teaches him the ancient techniques of the martial arts. Tommy becomes a good student and returns the fondness for the old master. In the care of Master Yamaguchi, Tommy finds a new home and a new love, the master's lovely daughter, Wyomi. They plan to wed soon, but his family finds him. Now, he must return to his home to face his past. He reunites with his old girlfriend, who is now married. Her husband, ruthless drug lord Drake Dillon, wants Tommy dead.

As the battle begins, Hell's Bells rings nonstop action and emotional scenes, propelling this martial arts novel from page one to the end.

After he graduated from school, Damboise began working in the mines, was married and had four children. He was involved in a mining accident when he was 28 that left him in a coma for a month. He woke up with a brain injury and had to learn to walk and talk again. It wasn't until he began to learn martial arts that Damboise was able to deal with his life problems. He is the author of one other book, For the Love of My Children.
