What Went Wrong with American Values?

New Book Examines the Devastating Change in American Values

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif., Jan. 8, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- What kind of America do you want your children to inherit? Is it an America that upholds the important values of respect, tolerance, responsibility and integrity? Or is it an America that is regressing in terms of its civilized behavior? Certainly, any self-respecting American would choose the former. But it does not end with merely choosing, does it? In the new book, American Values: 1960-2000, Larry Trapp helps us understand why Americans are experiencing a massive moral decadence and offers a strategy on how to turn this around.

Within these pages you will find a provocative discussion of American values and its breakdown reflected in increased violence, sexualization of children, and the undermining of respect and integrity. This book provides a reality check for every American, offers a strategy for changing undesirable value trends in society, and examines these trends from 1960 to 2000 with historical highlights. After you reflect on these pages, you will not view America the same way again.

American Values: 1960-2000 will challenge your views of government, the entertainment industry, the judicial system, religion, and especially parenting. As you read these pages, an unnerving picture of the future unravels from seemingly disjointed events compelling you to take a proactive role in effecting a positive shift in the downward trend of American values. Enlightening and utterly inspiring, this book is the battle cry of every true American.
