Enthusiastic with Eagles spirit, the management of the
Blue Cross RiverRink is inviting ice skaters to GO GREEN!
Here's what to expect:
-- The Olympic-size rink will appear green with green
lights reflected on the ice.
-- Skate Guards and staff will be wearing Eagles
jerseys.
-- The lights in the new warming pavilion will be
green.
-- Free Eagles Face Painting for all the Fans!
-- The video wall will display great Football moments.
Plus, there's a $2 discount ALL DAY SUNDAY! for anyone
wearing Eagles gear!
Background: The Blue Cross RiverRink is celebrating its Tenth
Anniversary Season . . . ten years of wintry fun on the
Penn's Landing waterfront . . . ten years of outdoor ice
skating in the center of the city! All season long there
will be 10th Anniversary festivities with special events
and special guests.
Regular skating session hours are Monday to Thursday
evenings only 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 12:30
- 2:30 p.m., 3 - 5:30 p.m., 6 - 8 p.m., 8:30 - 10:30 -
p.m., and 11 p.m. - 1 a.m.; Sunday 12:30 - 2:30 p.m., 3 -
5:30 p.m., and 6 - 9 p.m. Holiday Hours are 10 a.m. -
noon, 3 - 5:30 p.m., 6 - 8 p.m., 8:30 - 10:30 p.m. with
additional hours on Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. - 1
a.m. Live DJ every Friday and Saturday night from 9 -
midnight. Special Sled Skating Sessions for people with
disabilities are every Saturday from 9 - 11:30 a.m. Sled
Hockey Sessions from 10:30 - 11:30 am each Saturday.
Children's activities are planned all season with free
face painting every weekend and special themed events on
scheduled weekends.
