Premium Match Event to Benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- LeeAnn Webster, a dating expert, singles event planner, and author of "Dating At The Speed of Life" has launched "Premium Match Events" -- a new rotational dating event.

Rotational dating (aka speed dating) events have become the most popular way for singles to meet. Thousands of singles participate in these events every week, says author LeeAnn Webster. These events take the pressure out of dating by making it easy to meet, connect and follow up with each other. "Premium Match" is the newest evolution in speed dating -- it combines rotations and an extended mingling period for singles to re-connect with those they are interested in.

A portion of the proceeds from the events are donated to a worthy cause. January's recipient organization is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Orange County chapter.

The events start with cocktails and appetizers. Then instructions are given and the rotations begin. Attendees meet 10 people in 1 hour, sitting and talking with one person for 5 minutes, then changing to the next person. At the end of the event, sheets are turned in to indicate who each person would like to meet again. Those who choose each other are sent an e-mail message the next day with contact information. The next Premium Match event is Wednesday, January 21, 2004 in Santa Monica.

Registrants for Premium Match events also receive a copy of "Dating At The Speed of Life -- How to Make A Date in 5 Minutes," by LeeAnn Webster. As the creator of Rapid Dating(r), Webster helped thousands of singles connect. "Many people don't realize there are specific skills that, once learned, dramatically improve results," Webster said. This is the first book to provide specific information on how to prepare for rotational dating events, what to do at the event and how to turn the matches into dates after the event.

JDRF, the world's leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research, was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes -- a disease that strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Since its inception, JDRF has provided more than $500 million to diabetes research worldwide.
