EMAXNET Signs Publishing Agreements for 30 Software Games


ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- EMAXNET, Inc, owned partly by eMax Corporation (Pink Sheets:EMAX), announced today that it has signed agreements to publish over 30 computer games through its recently formed division, eMax Software Development Group.

The company has appointed K. Scott Piel to oversee all software and IT development services. A veteran of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division, where he got his first programming experience, Mr. Piel brings to the company over twenty-five years experience in applications development and programming as well as a broad background in communications, computer and Internet technologies.

EMAXNET plans to release seven games by last quarter of 2004. The games planned for re-release includes Stock Market (The Game), Corporate Raiders, Oil Barons, the Adventureland series 1-3, and EMAX Edutainment, an educational series promoting math, reading and writing skills. Mr. Piel has already completed a trial port of one of the games into an application suitable for play over the Internet and is currently completing development of a version for small format JAVA enabled wireless devices such as PDA, cell phones and Blackberry devices.

The games to which the company has gained rights were originally produced and released by Harold McCrery of Starsoft Development Labs or were acquired from Scott Adams by Starsoft Labs. The majority of these games sold 100,000 units or more while in distribution. The eMax Software Development Group intends to re-release these games with new updated audio and video Clips as multiplayer on-line games, small format wireless entertainment and/or box sets for PCs and other game platforms.
