Volvo Trucks appoints new head of Strategic Planning & Business Development


GOTEBORG, Sweden, Feb. 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ricard Fritz has today been appointed Senior Vice President, responsible for Strategic Planning & Business Development at Volvo Trucks. In this position he will be a member of the Truck Executive Group.

Ricard Fritz has been with Volvo since 1986 and has a solid and varied background with experience from Engineering, Purchasing, Product Planning and most recently Marketing.

He is taking up his position immediately and will during a transition period also maintain his present responsibilities as Director for Trucks & Marketing at the International Division.
