SSWM Awarded Dry Cleaner Site Contract in Michigan

American BioSystems Secures Work for SSWM

CARLSBAD, Calif. , Feb. 6, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sub-Surface Waste Management of Delaware, Inc, (OCTBB:SSWM), said today that it has been awarded a contract in Michigan with a confidential real estate group with a suspect impacted dry cleaner site in southeastern Michigan. SSWM secured this work through its exclusive agent in USEPA Region 5, the upper Midwest states, American BioSystems of Clinton Twp., MI.

Bruce Beattie, President of SSWM stated, "This award is a Baseline Environmental Assessment (BEA). A "BEA" is a study of environmental conditions at a facility when the facility is purchased, occupied, or foreclosed on, that reasonably defines the existing contamination at the facility so that, in the event of a subsequent release, there is a means of distinguishing the new release from existing contamination. The proper completion and disclosure of a BEA provides protection from liability for existing contamination at a "facility". This real estate group sought SSWM due to our demonstrated ability to perform remedial site assessment and subsequent implementation of corrective action measures using our Pay for Performance Bio-technology solutions for industry. While our innovative technical solutions are being accepted, due to the nature of many projects, our clients choose to remain confidential in name and contract magnitude. We honor their requests for confidentiality but want to keep the investment community and our other prospective customers aware of our successes in receiving contract awards and validation of our professional solutions."

Dan Badia, Principal with American BioSystems, Inc. (ABS) stated, "ABS is providing SSWM clients with potential environmental impacts that seek SSWM cost effective integrated assessment and bioremediation solutions approach to mitigate both time and expense related to environmental liability management. We continue to contribute to the SSWM revenue stream with additional clients who recognize the benefits of this unique approach to solving contamination problems."
