Wall Street News Alert -- Stocks to Watch on Tuesday!

WESTON, Fla., Feb. 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wall Street News Alert's "stocks to watch" this Tuesday morning are: Wellstone Filters, Inc. (OTCBB:WLSF), ATS Medical Inc. (Nasdaq:ATSI), Vyyo Inc. (Nasdaq:VYYO) and Beacon Power Corp. (Nasdaq:BCON).

Aggressive investors will be looking at Wellstone Filters Inc (OTCBB:WLSF) again this morning! Yesterday after the markets closed, the company issued a press release announcing that it is securing international protection on its patents! Even though the cost of securing such filings is high, the size of the international market makes such costs worthwhile in management's opinion.

This could be great news for investors! Wellstone believes there is no safe cigarette, and that smoking kills. Wellstone Filters, Inc. has developed and patented a chemically selective filter that effectively removes carcinogens and other toxins produced when tobacco is smoked -- without removing the compounds responsible for the pleasurable effects of smoking. Wellstone seeks to promote material for cigarette filters that will enable major cigarette manufacturers to provide consumers with an equally enjoyable cigarette with substantially fewer carcinogens. If people must smoke, the Wellstone filter mitigates but does not eliminate the health risks.

The stock closed yesterday at seventy-four cents a share.

According to the press release, WHO estimates that there are about 1,100 million regular smokers in the world today. About 300 million (200 million males and 100 million females) are in the developed countries, and nearly three times as many (800 million: 700 million males and 100 million females), in developing countries. In developed countries, 41% of men are regular smokers, as are 21% of women. Half the men living in developing countries are smokers, compared with about 8% of women. Although the USA ranks highest with 451 billion cigarettes smoked in 1998, Japan (328 billion), Russia (258 billion) and Indonesia (215 billion) are sizeable markets.

Stocks showing interesting activity yesterday were: ATS Medical Inc. (Nasdaq:ATSI) up 17.1% on 1 million shares traded, Vyyo Inc. (Nasdaq:VYYO) up 12.2% on 1 million shares traded and Beacon Power Corp. (Nasdaq:BCON) up 4.3% on 2.9 million shares traded.

Commentary:

"Earnings reports due out this week; Coca Cola on Wednesday and Dell on Thursday.
