HOUSTON, Feb. 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) - The following is being issued by BFI Waste Company:
We are aware of the incident involving a BFI truck transporting a roll-off compactor that was full of waste that was alleged to have included some medical waste containers. The driver was coming from a local hospital in route to a BFI landfill when the spill occurred. All materials from the accident were removed under the direction of the City of Houston Fire Department and properly disposed. No injuries occurred as a result of the incident and traffic movement was back to normal within a couple of hours. This incident is under an internal investigation.
