Financial Executives/LA Chapter Sets Presentation on Application of Sarbanes Oxley on Mid-Sized Companies

Michael L. Ziering, president and CEO of Diagnostics Products Corporation, to Speak


LOS ANGELES, Feb. 13, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The monthly meeting of the Los Angeles chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) will feature a presentation by Michael L. Ziering who will discuss the effects of Sarbanes Oxley on mid-sized companies. His discussion will include what resources must be committed to the efforts of complying with Sarbanes Oxley, and what benefits result. The dinner program will be held on Thursday, February 19, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Reagan Dining Room on the third floor of the Jonathan Club, 545 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles.

Michael L. Ziering currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Diagnostics Products Corporation. He joined the company in 1986 as legal counsel, and served as vice president administration from 1988 until 1994, and as president and chief operating officer from 1994 to 1999. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his doctorate from Loyola Law School.
