CDMA Conference Schedule Announced for 2004

CDMA Development Group Events Explore Innovations and Business Opportunities with CDMA Technologies

COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 17, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) today announced 2004 dates for its two flagship events, the CDMA Americas Congress and the 3G World Congress and Exhibition.

The CDMA Americas Congress and Test Forum, to be held Sept. 28-30 in Miami, Florida, will explore business and technology issues related to the implementation of CDMA2000(r) in North and Latin America. With its location in Miami, the Americas Congress attracts a large number of Latin American attendees and will increase the focus on issues of interest to the region.

The 3G World Congress and Exhibition will run Nov. 15-19 in Hong Kong, and will feature leading carriers, equipment vendors, content providers, and application developers from Asia and around the world sharing their experiences with 3G. In 2004, the exhibition for the 3G World Congress is being expanded; over 100 companies are expected to exhibit and more than 5,000 visitors will attend.

Perry LaForge, executive director of the CDG, said, "The Americas and World Congresses are in their ninth years, and both have broadened dramatically in size and scope since 1996, closely following the growth of CDMA. The CDG is pleased to provide educational and networking opportunities for wireless industry leaders to share their experiences and to foster growth and innovation for CDMA technologies."

The CDMA Americas Congress and 3G World Congress are organized by the Institute for International Research (IIR). The 3G World Congress is also endorsed by the UMTS Forum (www.umts-forum.org).
