Scotty Zane served in the U.S. Army from 1988 and 1992, when he was honorably discharged. He served as a law enforcement officer in south Alabama, returned to school and is now a teacher in the Covington County school system. The idea for A Lifetime of Days began when he was given a box of letters his grandfather had written during his days as a World War II soldier. Through extensive research, he created a fictional storyline that is historically accurate and truly reflects the journey of a soldier. A Lifetime of Days is his first book.
