Growing Demand for Enterprise Wireless Applications Spurs Company to Expand Sales & Marketing


LOS GATOS, Calif., Feb. 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Semotus Solutions (AMEX:DLK), an innovative provider of software for mobile enterprise applications, announced today that it has hired three senior sales managers and placed a prominent marketing executive to the Company's Advisory Board. In addition, Semotus has launched an aggressive marketing campaign to feature its flagship wireless communications software, HipLinkXS, at several key events in the healthcare, network monitoring, and wireless applications industries this year.

Anticipating an increase in the demand for wireless enterprise applications, Semotus has expanded its sales team with the addition of three seasoned professionals who will spearhead the Company's sales growth. With over 75 years of combined sales expertise, the talented trio will serve as a core building block for revenue growth in 2004.

Semotus is undertaking an aggressive marketing plan to brand the HipLinkXS software as the standard wireless alerting application in the Fortune 1000 and higher companies, healthcare and government organizations, and any business with mobile employees or a network that needs to be monitored. To assist in this marketing effort, Semotus welcomes Craig Shields to its newly formed Advisory Board. Craig Shields brings a 20-year track record of business success to the Company. Since 1984, Craig has managed and run a marketing consulting company, focusing on Fortune-sized and high-growth technology clients. Headline client relationships of Mr. Shields' company included Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Litton, 3Com, Xerox, Penske, Magnavox, Mitsubishi, AT&T, National Semiconductor, McDonnell Douglas, Philips Electronics, Unisys, CSC, Sony, Pacific Telesis, GTE, Fujistu, and Oracle. Over the past years, Mr. Shields' agency implemented thousands of successful marketing campaigns, generating demand for clients' products and services in North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.

A key part of the Company's marketing strategy is to feature HipLinkXS at events that cater to a large audience of technology buyers, such as the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) tradeshow. Semotus will be featuring HipLinkXS for the Healthcare facility at HIMSS annual conference Feb. 22nd through the 26th, in Orlando, Florida. Over 20,000 attendees are expected, the majority being IT implementation decision-makers for hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
