Commentary: Bills, bills, and more bills

Now more than ever it is important to pay your bills on time, if not early. Credit card companies, facing lower interest rates and having pressure to increase profits, have been seen raising credit card late fees as one way to increase profits. The standard late fee was $29 dollars, but some are now charging anywhere from $35 to $39 dollars. There may also be a tiered system, the higher the balance the higher the fee, usually anything over $1,200 or more maybe given a higher fee: http://www.WallStreetNewsAlert.com.
