Communication Synergy Technology Announces Implementation of Unique Archiving Solution to Manage the Preservation of Records for Local Government

Digital Archiving and Preservation Solution to Preserve Government Records for Upstate New York Municipality

BRIGHTON, N.Y., Feb. 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Communication Synergy Technology Inc. (ComSynTech) (Other OTC:CSYT), a business solutions company, announced today the acceptance of its plan to implement its unique document archiving and preservation solution, the CDV 1000 Document Vault, to meet the document management needs for the town of Brighton, a large upscale suburb of Rochester, New York.

The CDV 1000 Document Vault, named because of its unique ability to digitize and prepare for storage all forms of documents, is a scalable electronic filing device that captures, manages and annotates any document, in any format, for digital recording. Of particular importance is the system's ability to work with any operating system to preserve related documents for up to 100 years.

Like many municipalities throughout the US and the world, the town of Brighton is faced with a growing concern. The municipality must securely store its approximately 2.5 million documents and related records to preserve its historical, contractual, environmental and legal records while assuring that those records will be accessible and readable in both the short and long term.

The CDV 1000 Document Vault from ComSynTech, presents a simple and cost effective solution because it enables preservation storage to be a seamless part of the management process for any document. The system captures documentation via scanners, faxes, or from any digital form and manages them irrespective of the software or systems used to generate the original document. Documents are then archived and preserved in human readable form. A powerful search engine provides for the efficient retrieval of required originals that have been moved to microfilm or may be stored on the system for preservation at a later time.

Town Clerk Susan Kramarsky, manager for all town of Brighton records, says that the new system will make her work much more efficient. "The Document Vault provides a very simple solution to the very complex problem of managing and tracking documents manually, especially in light of New York State records retention requirements for both state and local governments," says Kramarsky. "This new, innovative information preservation and retrieval system will save time and storage costs", she adds.

It was Brighton Town Supervisor Sandra L. Frankel who first began to investigate a method to streamline the town's document storage process while delivering long-term archiving savings to Brighton residents. "The CDV 1000 Document Vault provides a way to retrieve and read documents regardless of the software that created them," says Frankel. "That level of compatibility made this system extremely appealing to the town and will result in a significant savings for Brighton taxpayers," she added.

Seth Borg, CEO of ComSynTech, views the relationship with the town of Brighton as "a timely opportunity to work with a forward looking municipality to meet their needs for document preservation and retrieval." He goes on to state, "The CDV 1000 Document Vault fits into any size government infrastructure and as such, we see it having broad appeal for any institution faced with the need for preserving and archiving documents with the assurance that they will be available when needed."
