Kids Will Be Kids -- New Book Teaches Children Consequences of Mischievous Actions

GREENVILLE, Miss., February 23, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Many children get into all kinds of trouble thanks to their own curiosity. Perhaps, they just need something to occupy their time, such as Kathi Taylor's new story and coloring book, Bandy Pandy in Making Waves; Autumn Leaves; Car-rot-ty Carrots, Molasses and Quences: Story Book; Coloring Books; Your Own Drawing Book (now available through 1stBooks). Taylor's new book features stories about a precious bear that learns lessons and values from his mishaps.

Bandy Pandy is the name of a little panda bear who loves to have fun. Unfortunately, Bandy's kind of fun is a lot of running, jumping and noise, which usually annoys his sister, Honey, and brother, Koala. Honey and Koala often have to help Bandy out of trouble.

Taylor offers four adventures in Bandy's first collection. "Making Waves" tells how Honey and Koala enjoy bath time, blowing bubbles and playing with a rubber duck. Bandy, however, hates baths and refuses, even when his siblings beg and remind him their parents will not let him go camping over the weekend if he doesn't bathe. Bandy attempt to escape, but only ends up breaking one of their mother's vases. Bandy may be in big trouble.

In another story, "Car-rot-ty," Koala and Honey try desperately to get away from their hyper brother, who is screaming and leaping around the house, and in "Autumn Leaves," Bandy inconsiderately ruins an old squirrel's afternoon of leaf-raking.

With pages of illustrations waiting to be filled with color by little hands, Bandy Pandy keeps the little ones busy while they learn valuable lessons about the consequences of their actions.

Taylor has been making up stories since she was a child. She now spends her time writing children's stories with animals based on pets she has had throughout her life. Bandy Pandy is her first book, but she has two more books waiting to be published.
