SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 25, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Desert Health Products, Inc. (OTCBB:DHPI) headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, has opened a European office for Desert Health in Trondheim, Norway.
Johnny Shannon, Chairman and CEO of Desert Health Products, Inc., says, "Having an office in the heart of Europe will enable us to respond promptly to our European customers needs and to develop new customer contacts. Additionally, this closer contact will result in our increased awareness of the public's requirements in the supplement industry throughout Europe."
Mr. Thor Lindvaag, a native of Norway, will oversee the European office. Mr. Lindvaag joined Desert Health in 1997 in the USA and assisted in the licensing and approval process of Desert Health's products throughout the international community.
Desert Health, in concert with Lindvaag, has signed a 10-year licensing agreement with Royal Products Scandinavia AS, a direct sales marketing company. According to the terms of the agreement, all RPS' products will be supplied by Desert Health and Desert Health will receive ownership and royalties on the sales. The first order was shipped in January 2004.
Mr. Lindvaag says, "The entire European market is buying American nutraceutical products at an ever increasing rate. Desert Health plans to be a major player in this lucrative area. In fact, already in 2004, Desert Health has shipped nearly a million capsules and tablets to this market."
