WHAT: The Last Weekend to Skate! Over the course of the
17 week season, 45,000 skaters hit the ice along
with 100,000 visitors and spectators enjoying the
free face painting and crafts that took place in
the 80' x 150' heated pavilion each week.
Highlights of this anniversary season included:
-- First annual Battle of the Bands Competition. Winner Blue
Collar PA to take the stage this summer at Penn's Landing.
-- Annual Skate with Santa, Kids Fest, and Chocolate Festival
events throughout the season.
-- A variety of Christmas parties and corporate events.
-- Continuing partnership with the Variety Club for their
Sled Skating program and Tree of Love donation drive.
"Having completed our 10th anniversary season," said Interim President of Penn's Landing, Joseph Brooks, "we look forward to celebrating our 20th anniversary season."
