PHOENIX, March 2, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- ViaStar Media Corp. (OTCBB:VISH) announced today that the Company's distribution division, ViaStar Distribution Group has signed London-based Chocolate Fireguard Records to an Exclusive North American Distribution Agreement.
Chocolate Fireguard will immediately work with ViaStar Distribution Group in distributing its newest cutting edge dance project "Kava Kava; Maui" to ViaStar's retail partners for April delivery. The first of several projects to be released from Chocolate Fireguard and ViaStar Distribution Group in 2004, "Kava Kava; Maui" is receiving international publicity and notoriety as "one of the more distinctive and funky albums of the year," (Blues & Soul) and a must to "be on every funk and disco playlist, period!" (DJ Magazine).
ViaStar will also distribute the critically acclaimed debut release "Brave" from Yorkshire's rising urban stars "The Bluefoot Project". This album has been chosen as one of 8 imported titles to be featured on special "Best Of British" listening posts at Virgin Megastores including the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston and both Times Square and Union Square, New York City locations. This is the second year in a row Chocolate Fireguard has had the unique honor of being chosen by Virgin Megastores for their coveted "Best of British" retail program.
As ViaStar rolls out the UK label with an impressive track record and a solid consumer base, the Company expects Chocolate Fireguard to receive significant attention in 2004 as it brings its substantial catalog to the North American market.
