HARRISBURG, Pa., March 9, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Worldwide industrial services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that its SGB Group access services division has been selected to provide a range of rental access equipment during construction of the new English National Stadium, being built over the footprint of the historic Wembley Stadium in northwest London.
SGB will be supporting Pyramid Builders Ltd, one of the prime subcontractors on the project with responsibilities for laying the brick and blockwork for the 90,000-seat stadium. The SGB access equipment being supplied on a rental basis includes the division's Cuplok scaffolding system together with a small fleet of powered access units and ladders. The equipment is expected to be on site for approximately two years. Contract terms were not disclosed.
Division President and CEO Geoffrey D. H. Butler said that major, high-visibility construction projects are familiar territory for SGB's market-leading access equipment and services. "We constantly drive ourselves to lead the access industry in equipment, service and safety," Butler said.
