STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Gunnebo security group has received an order through its Spanish subsidiary Fichet Sistemas Servicios SA worth MSEK 11.5 (MEUR 1.25) for a complete security system for Spanish savings bank IBERCAJA's new service centre in Zaragoza. The order has been signed with the building company AGRACONSA but we have been appointed by IBERCAJA's wholly owned engineering subsidiary INMOBINSA.
IBERCAJA, which has around 1.100 local branches, has a long-standing business relationship with Fichet Sistemas Servicios, which supplies and services bank-security products.
Fichet was brought in at the very start of the project and is planning a complete security system involving both physical and electronic security for the bank's new service centre in central Zaragoza.
The service centre which will house the bank's backup IT system and other facilities, will be a five-storey building with 6,000 m2 of floor space, and basements on two floors housing high-graded vaults covering 1,700 m2, of which 200 m2 will be designed to satisfy the highest security grading with stainless steel walls and one high-graded OPTEMA 100 door.
The vaults will be manufactured at Gunnebo's factory near to Barcelona, Spain and the vault door at the Gunnebo factory in Bazancourt, France. The vault installation work is scheduled for completion by mid-2004.
The rest of the security system consists of burglar and fire alarms, access control systems with CCTV surveillance - all connected via the IP network to the PYRAMID alarm system.
