Trelleborg wins tax case in County Administrative Court

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 11, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The County Administrative Court in the County of Skane has ruled in favour of Trelleborg AB's deduction for a taxable loss of SEK 600 M that arose in connection with the divestment of operations in 1999. The Tax Authorities have the opportunity to appeal the ruling within two months from the announcement of the ruling at the beginning of March 2004.

The value of the loss carryforward, which is estimated at SEK 168 M, has not previously been reported as an asset in the Company's accounts. The possible future capitalization and application of the tax value of the loss carryforward will therefore have a positive effect on the Company's earnings and cash flow.

An examination of how the loss carryforward may be applied will take place once the ruling has become legally binding.
