National Recreational Properties, Inc. is Giving Back for a Homerun!

IRVINE, Calif., March 15, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- National Recreational Properties, Inc. (NRPI), a leading real estate company specializing in recreational land properties, announced today that it will donate $10,000 to the Santiago Little League located in Santa Ana, California on March 24, 2004. In an official ceremony to be held at 1825 W. Civic Center Dr. in Santa Ana at 3:45 p.m., the company spokesperson, Erik Estrada, star of the 70's hit television series "CHiPs," will hand over a check for the $10,000 donation to the Santiago Little League founders, Leon and Pearl Raya.

"I read a recent article about the Santiago Little League and the struggles they are facing, trying to establish a presence in a gang-infested neighborhood, and their story just touched me," said Rob Friedman, NRPI Vice President. "We felt we wanted to lessen the struggles they are facing and give back to the community at the same time. NPRI is proud to sponsor children, as they represent our future."

Erik Estrada, the company's spokes person, was especially touched, since the mostly Hispanic neighborhood where the Santiago Little League is playing in reminds him of his own struggles as a boy: "Sports is such a great vehicle to instill values and confidence in children, and I am glad to be supporting this."
