AdZone Research Appoints Major General (Ret.) Paul Weaver to Its Global Defense Group Advisory Board to Help Guide Performance on Anticipated Defense Awards

WASHINGTON, March 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research, Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR), a pioneering Internet surveillance technology solutions provider, today announced that it has appointed United States Air Force Major General (Ret.) Paul A. Weaver, Jr., to its Global Defense Group Advisory Board. He joins United States Air Force Major General (Ret.) John R. Conley on the board, and will help guide the company as it ramps up in anticipation of significant defense contract awards.

"We are very proud to make this announcement," said Chairman & CEO Charles Cardona, "For more than a year now, General Weaver has played a major role in AdZone's surveillance discoveries getting to the right people, at the right time, in numerous U.S. government agencies. Given his illustrious 35-year career, he is well positioned to help us guide our company through its next phase -- the awarding of significant government business on a continuing basis."

"I am pleased to be joining AdZone's Global Defense Group Advisory Board," said General Weaver. "Seeing first-hand the advanced and incomparable technology this company has created, and personally introducing its capabilities to agencies responsible for the highest levels of security for the American public, has made me a firm believer in its future. As well, seeing the impact of two already publicized credible threats AdZone's capabilities helped to thwart, went a long way to engage both the government and key senior management at some of the most highly respected defense suppliers in the country," the General stated.

"To put it in context," General Weaver said, "since retiring from the Air Force, my consulting clients include virtually all of the major defense contractors. Therefore, I have both a reputation to maintain, and a level of expectation that extends to my smaller clients like AdZone Research as well. As such, I fully expect AdZone to succeed, and by now being added to its advisory board, I can lend a hand in personally assuring that, as pending awards are announced, AdZone will deliver at the highest possible professional level," Weaver observed.

"Furthermore," said Weaver, "as established security agencies and the Department of Homeland Security clarify their respective roles, the timelines for awards being made are getting longer, while customers' expectations on deliverables escalate.

"Small companies like AdZone face special challenges in this new and changing environment, since they are required to perform at the highest levels without the benefit of prior experience, all while under the extremely watchful eyes of federal monitoring branches. By joining AdZone's advisory board, especially having worked so closely with the company, and seen its people in action, I'm convinced that, by helping it to level the playing field, the company can move to the head of the pack immediately upon pending announcement of its first significant task," General Weaver said.

"General Weaver has been with us through some of our most challenging times and, with his contacts and expertise, we look forward to a level of advisory board involvement other small businesses can only dream about," said AdZone CEO Cardona. "He not only validates what the company has been saying but, along with General Conley, gives us a level of confidence in both securing soon- to-be announced business, and in being able to effectively deliver to customers' specifications. That is why we are making these appointments now, so these experts can directly help to influence the direction of the company, as well as to ensure that our resources are properly directed towards the highest levels of professional delivery, as well as continued successful marketing."

Cardona noted that General Weaver is a highly decorated veteran and a well-respected contributor to this nation's safety and security. He retired from the United States Air Force as the director of the Air National Guard. He was responsible for formulating, developing and coordinating all policies, plans and programs affecting more than 104,000 Air National Guard members in more than 1,841 units.

United States Air Force Major General (Ret.) John R. Conley became the first member of the company's Global Defense Group Advisory Board two years ago this week. General Weaver now joins General Conley on the advisory board, and has already played a key role in our Global Defense Group, as referenced earlier."
