CeBIT at HANNOVER, Germany, March 22 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Trintech Group Plc (Nasdaq:TTPA) (Prime Standard:TTP), a leading provider of transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced the launch of OpenPay 2000 a GPRS-enabled mobile top-up solution that can be used in indoor and outdoor vending environments.
In a related announcement, Gruenig-Poth, a leading manufacturer of outdoor vending systems, has selected Trintech's OpenPay 2000 for use in their new range of solar-powered machines. The vending machines will offer mobile phone top-up to customers of all networks and will be installed throughout Germany. By integrating OpenPay 2000 into vending machine environments operators gain an immediate, high-margin revenue stream, as well as the capability to remotely monitor the performance of each machine online.

About OpenPay 2000
Trintech's OpenPay 2000 solution includes display and keypad for the selection of electronic products such as pre-pay top-up. It includes a GPRS module for communication with prepay service providers. OpenPay 2000 interfaces with the vending machines printer and central controller via an MDB interface.
OpenPay 2000 combined with Trintech's estate management system, PayWare EMS, allows companies to monitor their vending systems remotely. Diagnostic information about each vending machine in a vending estate can be uploaded via GPRS connection to the customer's website instantly, thereby eliminating the need for site visits. Issues such as machine security, purchasing trends, revenue generation, stock levels and maintenance can be monitored remotely.
