Vertex Interactive Receives New Orders

Follow-On Order to Supply and Install PicRite Inventory/Pick-To-Light Systems at Customer Facilities in China

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J., March 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vertex Interactive Inc. (OTCBB:VETX) ("Vertex" or the "Company"), a provider of advanced internet enabling business-to-business fulfillment solutions, today announced that its enterprise software division, XeQute Solutions, has received additional orders from one of the world's leading technology companies totaling $300,000, to install automated inventory/pick-to-light systems at certain facilities in China. These are in addition to systems supplied earlier for North America, Europe, South America and China.

Nicholas Toms, CEO of Vertex commented, "This ongoing enterprise represents a major milestone in the Company's rapid emergence as a leader in providing business-to-business order fulfillment solutions for both e-commerce and traditional distribution channels, capitalizing on its predominance in pick-to-light technology. Vertex is already established as a leading provider of inventory/warehouse management systems to significant vertical markets, such as the global pharmaceutical industry. The use of the company's PicRite(r) pick-to-light systems at I/T facilities worldwide now confirms the increasing need of the computer/semiconductor industry for Vertex's order fulfillment technology."

Hugo Biermann, Chairman of Vertex commented, "We are pleased to have been chosen once more from among a number of industry competitors for our pick-to-light and other inventory/warehouse solutions."
