ATLANTA, April 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Leadership Atlanta announces the appointment of Candy Berman to direct its new initiative, L.E.A.D. Atlanta, a leadership development program for young professionals.

Berman is President of Candy Berman & Associates, a company specializing in events and projects for non-profit organizations. She has held many volunteer positions including the 2004 Program Chair of Leadership Atlanta and President of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Jewish Committee in 1997-1999.
"I have always been passionate about inspiring and educating young people," Berman says. "I know how impactful the Leadership Atlanta experience was for me. Can you just imagine the effect this type of experience will have on our community if adults are exposed at an earlier age?"
UPS and AirTran Airways are the sponsors of L.E.A.D. Atlanta (an acronym for leadership, education, action and direction). The program will incorporate issues and challenges facing Atlanta and teach skills that will aid participants in their career and community involvement.
