The Los Angeles Police Department
On March 30, Mr. Yaacov Shoham, CEO of Identa Corp., demonstrated the company's drug detector test kits to the Narcotics Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers of the Narcotics Division together with officers from the Scientific Unit of the L.A.P.D. experimented with the drug detector tests on real drugs with great success and to their full satisfaction.
During the meeting with Mr. Shoham, it was clear that the L.A.P.D. stopped using other types of drug detector tests as they were only presumptive and were not user friendly. They now felt, that with the Identa - Stinger drug detector tests, they could now return to using the Stinger in field tests in an efficient manner.
The L.A.P.D. is expected in the following months to begin purchasing tens of thousands of field tests per year.
South Africa
South African Customs and Excise has indicated its intent to implement the Identa kit in 40 stations around the country.
An initial order for the next six months will be arriving from the South African Authorities within the coming week and is expected to be for several thousand kits.
