(Pink Sheets:ASRO) today announced that three of its Kidz-Med products are now available at CVS Pharmacies (NYSE:CVS) nationwide. American Scientific developed the Kidz-Med line of products designed specifically for the pediatrics market. The three products American Scientific currently sells through the CVS chain are: WhistleWatch, an FDA-certified children's asthma monitor; ScaldSafe, a water temperature monitoring device; and a Pediatric Medicine Dispenser.

American Scientific's WhistleWatch is an asthma peak flow monitor which makes it easy to self-monitor children's asthma potentially preventing attacks and controlling prescription medication use. The Pediatric Medicine Dispenser features a unique plunger making dispensing the correct amount of medicine for infants and toddlers easy. ScaldSafe is a temperature warning device for a baby's bath water. It will change to a bright color as an alert that the water is too. ScaldSafe is designed for home healthcare safety, hospitals, nursing homes, as well as health clubs and spas.
Lordi said the company is currently negotiating with other major retailers in efforts to expand its base of potential customers for the Kidz-Med line of products. "We are focused on capitalizing on some of the outstanding relationships with many of the type of retailers and medical supply companies who would market American Scientific products.
