Buffalo Technology Continues Its U.S. Expansion With Fry's Electronics

The Company Continues to Establish Itself as a Market Leader and Increases Presence in the U.S. Consumer Electronics Market

AUSTIN, Texas, April 13, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Buffalo Technology, the global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wireless networking solutions for home, SOHO and SMBs, announced today it is continuing its expansion into the U.S. consumer market with a retail partnership with Fry's Electronics, a provider of products representing the latest technological trends and advances in the personal computer marketplace for over 18 years.

Buffalo's home networking solutions will be available in all twenty-six Fry's stores in California, Arizona, Texas, Nevada and Washington. Fry's chose Buffalo because its high-speed wireless networking solutions and innovative technology such as AirStation One-Touch Secure System(tm) (AOSS(tm)) are well suited for Fry's tech-savvy customer base.

"Wireless networking has become a staple in the U.S. HotSpots are popping up everywhere and more and more homes and businesses are incorporating wireless networking technology. Because of this, wireless products must be extremely easy to install and use, which is why we developed AOSS technology," stated Morikazu Sano, vice president of Buffalo's networking division. "The fact that our products are so consumer-friendly has augmented our success in the U.S. We are thrilled to be working with Fry's and look forward to continued growth and success."

Fry's customers will now have access to Buffalo's full suite of AirStation(tm) 54Mbps wireless home networking products based on the IEEE802.11g wireless standard. The products that will be available in Fry's include Buffalo's 802.11g wireless router, wireless cards, indoor antennas and USB adapters. Fry's will also carry Buffalo's award winning repeater/bridge; its CNet Editor's Choice recipient, the LinkStation Network Storage Center and its router/repeater kit -- the perfect solution for hassle-free installation and expansion of a wireless network. Fry's will also offer Buffalo's upcoming high-speed 125Mbps wireless solutions.

Buffalo's line of 802.11g products incorporate Buffalo's new AOSS technology, which allows users to automatically set up a secure wireless network with the push of a button. The technology detects and configures other AOSS enabled devices such as printers, scanners, audio/video equipment, etc. and seamlessly creates a secure connection. Now users will have the benefit of seamless, cross-brand wireless connectivity throughout the home or office without the need for extra equipment.

Buffalo Technology launched in the U.S. in 2000. Their solid product line has made them a staple amongst users who desire attractive, secure, high-performance wireless products that are very affordable. The company has continued to make a statement by being the first to offer next-generation networking solutions such as AOSS.

Buffalo's products are immediately available in Fry's. See stores for details. For more information on Buffalo Technology and its products, please visit the company's web site at www.buffalotech.com.
