Thereafter, Nortel announced on March 15, 2004, the suspension of defendants Douglas Beatty and Michael Gollogly. Following this announcement, the price of the shares of the Company's stock fell 18.5%. The Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") has reportedly undertaken a formal investigation of the Company's accounting practices.
