Trintech's Smart 5000 terminal is equipped with a single slot for magnetic stripe and smart cards, thereby solving the problem of consumer and cashier confusion at the point-of-sale. The Smart 5000 also has the ability to operate across both DOS and Windows platforms eliminating the need to upgrade the hardware should customers upgrade from DOS.
