5G Wireless Communications, Inc. Signs OEM Agreement with Nomadix

Agreement Enables Complete Wireless Internet Solution to Accommodate Voice, Data and Video

MARINA DEL REY, Calif., April 19, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- 5G Wireless Communications, Inc. (OTCBB:FGWC) announced today that it has entered into an OEM agreement with Nomadix, Inc. (www.nomadix.com), the leading supplier of public-access solutions.

The OEM agreement allows 5G Wireless to add the billing, authentication and management capabilities offered by Nomadix's family of Access Gateways and licensed embedded software solutions to its G-Force suite of wireless broadband products and systems. The combined solution will directly address the key issues of customer acquisition, provisioning, security, and revenue generation for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), Multiple Dwelling Units (MDUs) and campus-based organizations.

Under the terms of the agreement Nomadix and 5G Wireless will jointly market both existing and newly-developed products to wireless environments with multiple access points and users that require roaming capabilities.

"Nomadix's family of public-access gateways is a natural partner to our G-Force products," stated Don Boudewyn, executive vice president of 5G Wireless. "We believe that combining 5G Wireless's and Nomadix's products will enable our customers to implement a total Wi-Fi network that can include voice, data and video more efficiently and profitably."

"We are delighted to be partnering with 5G Wireless to offer complete, integrated public-access solutions that enable subscribers to exchange important information in a secure manner via public Wi-Fi access," said Kurt Bauer, senior vice president of field operations for Nomadix. "5G Wireless's G-Force products offer an intriguing set of performance benefits to organizations implementing Wi-Fi solutions."

Nicholas Opara, Director of Technology Services of e.sideout, a Phoenix, AZ based ISP stated, "We see tremendous value in a partnership between Nomadix and 5G Wireless. The combination of 5G's broad area Wi-Fi coverage, and Nomadix's ability to provide separate and secure networks over the 5G Wireless product enables us to meet both the profitability and functional needs of our hotel, municipal, and airport customers."

"Partnering with Nomadix to offer their best-of-breed technology as part of our total solution is an exciting opportunity for 5G Wireless," said Jerry Dix, CEO of 5G Wireless. "Wi-Fi Public-access is a growing market with over 200 million Wi-Fi enabled devices projected to be in use by the end of 2004 and over 700 million projected to be in use by the end of 2007. We see this partnership as a first step in offering a "one stop shop" that provides wireless connectivity with a centralized provisioning system for our customers. The combination of 5G Wireless's G-Force and Nomadix's public-access products provide a dynamic and powerful infrastructure that can minimize costs of deployment for operators. The combined solution also provides flexibility and control for area customization so that operators can cater to residents, workers and visitors in a seamless roaming network within an area or zone."

The Nomadix Service Engine(tm) (NSE) leverages a centralized provisioning system to give the provider maximum deployment flexibility by supporting the widest range of billing, authentication, wholesale and roaming models while giving the user a hassle-free connectivity experience.

5G Wireless's G-Force products offer campuses, municipalities and Wireless Internet Service Providers exceptional capabilities including 100% compatibility with 802.11b standard Wi-Fi cards to enable seamless roaming coverage to 1/2 mile or more. Additional product highlights include 360-degree point-to-point coverage over an eight to ten mile radius to 5G Wireless CPE units; for both line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight applications.
