EMS Satellite Networks Launches New DVB-RCS Hub


LAS VEGAS, April 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- EMS Satellite Networks, a division of EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELMG), today launched a revolutionary new DVB-RCS hub. This new hub is an extension of EMS's existing, market-leading, field-proven DVB-RCS hub product, enabling several new features while dramatically reducing entry costs for EMS customers.

EMS's Release 2.0 DVB-RCS hub is designed to support thousands of terminals, hundreds of megabits of outbound and inbound traffic, and powerful features such as a bi-directional performance-enhancing proxy. It uses less than half of the hardware used in EMS's existing Release 1.5 hub. The hub has been field-tested for several months with beta customers, and is now available for commercial service.

EMS's DVB-RCS product and technology solutions enable two-way broadband access for a wide range of networking applications.
