MALMO, Sweden, April 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Benima, Teleca's business specialising in industrial IT and automation, has signed an agreement to acquire the Danish company NewCon A/S, which has a staff of 18. The acquisition is part of Benima's strategy to increase its market share in the Nordic region.
With its staff of 500, Benima is the Nordic region's largest supplier- independent consulting company in the area of industrial IT and automation. Benima already has an office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The acquisition of NewCon A/S is not only part of Benima's strategy to increase its market share in the Nordic region but also a way of increasing its overall presence in Europe. NewCon is based in two locations: Copenhagen, on Zealand, the principal island of Denmark, and Randers, on the Jutland peninsula. The company has a firmly established network of customers, especially in the pharmaceutical and foodstuffs industries. NewCon will be integrated with Benima's current business activities in Denmark.
