TechTV Will Air World Business Review Interview with Calypso Wireless

MIAMI LAKES, Fla., May 3, 2004 -- Calypso Wireless, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CLYW), announced that TechTV will air today the World Business Review hosted by General Alexander Haig. In this program, Calypso Wireless addresses the solutions in the wireless arena including seamless roaming between cellular and Wi-Fi networks. The 4.5 minute segment will be aired on various cable and satellite TV channels during next two weeks. The distribution report for viewing in your area has been posted on Calypso's website. Calypso's Patented ASNAP(tm) technology (US Patent no. 6,680,923 B1) enables cellular phones and other mobile devices to automatically detect an available wireless local area network and then seamlessly switch between the signals from a GSM/GPRS or CDMA cellular tower to a short range broadband network such as Wi-Fi. The wireless customer remains connected to the GSM/GPRS or CDMA network until his mobile phone automatically detects and switches to a Wi-Fi network. At that point, the phone seamlessly switches to that network and is now able to connect at a speed of up to 11,000 Kbps (11Mbps) enabling movie-quality, real-time video conferencing via Calypso's cellular / Wi-Fi phones, or any mobile device powered with Calypso's patented technology.

"We are in active negotiations with one of the largest cable companies in the U.S. for them to license/purchase Calypso's Patented ASNAP(tm) technology and related products (cellular phones, WLAN Access Points and related hardware and software). Our patented technology makes Calypso a natural fit for cable companies such as Cablevision (NYSE:CVC), Comcast (Nasdaq:CMCSA) and Cox Communications (NYSE:COX). Everybody wins. Cable companies will be able to generate new revenues through the sale or lease of Calypso-powered access points or cell phones. They will also derive additional roaming charges as compensation from mobile carriers for facilitating calls. Mobile carriers can increase the number of subscribers without having to increase cellular capacity, free up cellular spectrum, increase capacity and coverage, add more revenue producing services such as the real-time video conferencing, reduce dropped calls and improve quality of service. And, consumers will be able to lower their airtime charges and enjoy much faster 11,000 Kbps connectivity. They can even start earning additional discounts toward their monthly cable bill. When another cell phone user picks up the access point owner's wireless network signal, the owner could pocket part of the roaming charges, which then would appear as an additional discount in the monthly cable bill," says Alfredo Sarrazin, Vice President of Sales of Calypso Wireless, Inc.
