Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Promotes Chineta Davis to Vice President


NORWALK, Conn., May 5, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Chineta K. Davis has been promoted to vice president of Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Norden Systems business unit, effective immediately.

Davis succeeds Ivory E. Tucker, who has been named vice president of Material Program Management Operations for the company's Electronic Systems sector in Baltimore.

As Norden Systems vice president, Davis will oversee the company's diverse aerospace and defense-related electronics engineering and manufacturing activities in Norwalk, which include radar sensors for the U.S. Air Force/U.S. Army Joint STARS surveillance aircraft, and the Multi-Platform Radar Technology Insertion program, as well as airport surface detection radars for the Federal Aviation Administration, and other avionics programs.

Davis joined the company in 1976 and has held a variety of professional and management positions in operations and programs. In 1999, she was appointed director of integrated enterprise visibility, and in 2001, she became director of program quality assurance. She then served as director of production transition for the Airborne Surveillance Systems business unit.

Since 2003, she has been director of strategic sourcing in the Procurement and Material Management organization in Baltimore.

Ms. Davis earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and has completed the executive marketing program at the University of California, Los Angeles and the general managers' program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
