Good, a wireless and telecom veteran, will spearhead MSV's efforts to build and operate the company's next-generation business that will combine the best of satellite and terrestrial networks. MSV's next-generation hybrid wireless network incorporates powerful geostationary satellites with an ancillary terrestrial component (ATC) to deliver service to standard wireless terminals.

Mr. Good has a long history in the telecommunications field as an operating executive and on the Boards of telecom businesses. From 1997 to 1999, Good was executive vice president of Bell Atlantic Corp (now Verizon) and served as a member of that company's Executive Committee. From 1994 to 1996, he served as CEO and President of Bell Atlantic International, where he lead the company's high growth international operations. He also initiated and oversaw the company's investments in other areas, including the satellite industry. Prior to his service with Bell Atlantic, he served as chairman and CEO of the Board for Mtel International.

"MSV is moving ahead with its plans to develop our next-generation business, and Alex is a strong addition to our executive team at this critical time in MSV's history," said Parsons. "His credentials in the telecommunications and wireless industries and in public policy make him the perfect choice to lead MSV into the future, and to articulate our vision to customers, partners and the regulatory community."

"I have always been focused on building high-growth businesses and that's why I am excited about leading Mobile Satellite Ventures at this time," said Good. "We are moving ahead to develop a standalone business that will redefine the wireless industry and deliver on the promise to provide wireless, everywhere."

In addition to his industry experience, Good also served in international commerce under the Reagan Administration. In 1985, he was appointed Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General of the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service, where he directed 1,300 personnel and an $80 million international trade network in 200 locations worldwide.
