iVoice Delivers IVR Application Generator 2.0 For Tapi Wav

Available for the Avaya IP Office, 3Com NBX and Shorelines IP Voice System; Eliminating the Need for Additional External and Expensive Hardware Components

MATAWAN, N.J., May 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- iVoice, Inc. (OTCBB:IVOC), a leader in speech recognition technology, today announced the release of its IVR Application Generator 2.0 for Tapi Wav, available for the Avaya IP Office, 3Com NBX and Shorelines IP Voice System. The iVoice IVR telephony development environment leverages the latest in Speech Recognition, Text-to-Speech and Telephony features. iVoice continues to set the standard for delivering superior developer productivity and flexibility.

Telephony Application Program Interface, or TAPI, allows iVoice to integrate its applications into different telephone private branch exchange systems (PBX's), eliminating the need for additional external and expensive hardware components. Each phone system hardware provider provides a specific software driver that interfaces directly with the iVoice Speech Enabled Auto Attendant. TAPI provides a high-level interface for dialing and disconnecting.

The iVoice Speech Enabled Application Generator delivers a number of customer-driven enhancements:

-- Speech Recognition as a built in component, plus the ability to
develop from the base IVR environment a complete Speech driven
call center, without any additional third party licensing.
-- Speech Adaptation -- iVoice now provides a speech recognition
system that continuously analyzes incoming speech input,
transforming the existing speech model into a customized speech
    model.
-- Speech Channeling Tuning Tool -- The Channel Tuning tool is an
iterative data analysis and performance improvement tool for
gathering and analyzing speech input over phone lines. The tool
is designed to eliminate the time consuming manual process of
examining the quality and volume of sound at the client site. It
calculates and adjusts settings on both the sound processing
    hardware and the speech engine.
 -- Text-to-Speech plug in integration.
-- Tapi Wav connectivity offers a wealth of information including
called and calling number identification, the reason a call was
redirected, and date and time stamps.
-- E-mail Notification and Fax Notification to confirm receipt of a
    transaction.
-- Enabling call centers and hosting environments to answer and
delegate calls to different applications. The application can
route calls based on specified rules, monitors application
performance, and logs calls and events.

The Speech Enabled IVR telephony application is based on a modular architecture, where the main IVR program controls multiple IVR applications. The IVR application generator enables automatic routing of calls and launches applications based on the number dialed by a caller. This feature alone will reduce development time by weeks, if not months.

The market for Speech telephony & IVR applications continues to evolve. iVoice continues to define state-of-the-art applications for the market. Its innovations provide the plentiful capabilities required to rapidly produce the sophisticated applications that the marketplace demands, all within a simple drag and drop-programming environment.
