The Return of God Will Be Peaceful -- New Book Proclaims That 'End Times' Will Bring Joy, Not Destruction

BERWYN, Ill., May 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Both secular and religious authors have predicted the coming of the "end times," and most have warned that God will cause great suffering and destruction to the earth in the final moments. In his new book, Kingdom of God: Our Best Hope (now available through AuthorHouse), Les Dobrzanski paints a different picture of the final days. He writes extensively about God's kingdom and how it will be brought to Earth not with chaos, but with beauty and mercy.

Dobrzanski recounts Biblical history, starting with the teachings of John the Baptist, who was the first to proclaim that the people of the Judean desert were close to seeing God's kingdom. John the Baptist stressed the divinity of Jesus Christ and told the people that Jesus was the son of God, a sign that the kingdom would soon be reaching Earth, Dobrzanski writes.

After Jesus was persecuted, apostles spread the message of the kindgom throughout the land. Dobrzanski further reviews historical accounts and prophetic writings that describe the kingdom of God. He quotes the scholarly works and many versions of the Scriptures to prove that the return of the kingdom of God will be joyful and serene. He illustrates that the teachings of John the Baptist, Jesus and Paul declare that when God's kingdom is restored on Earth, it shall be peaceful, not destructive.

"It seems right that the living God who loves the world will restore the world rather than to have it destroyed," Dobrzanski writes. "We had enough war and destruction already after the millennia of man's rule to expect that in our future, but not when God rules. That is why his Kingdom is our best hope."

Dobrzanski, now retired, and his wife live in a suburb of Chicago and attend a small Presbyterian church. The couple has two grown children and one granddaughter.
