PlanetLink Communications Appoints Sharon Cooper as Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer


CUMMING, Ga., May 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- In a move to build its management team in support of its product introductions, PlanetLink Communications Inc., (OTCBB:PLKC), a provider of satellite-based products and services, announced today that it is has appointed Sharon Cooper as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Cooper, who has been a consultant to the Company since October 2002, will expand her role to build greater operational infrastructure to support sales and oversee the execution of PlanetLink's growth strategy.

Ms. Cooper has over twenty years of experience in operations, corporate development, and acquisitions, primarily in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining the Company, she was a corporate consultant to several large firms including PlanetLink, where she served as an operational advisor. From 1997 to 1999, she served as Vice President of Corporate Development for ILD Telecommunications, where she was responsible for the acquisition and integration of several companies, the introduction of new products and services, and the optimization of the company's internal operations. Between 1981 and 1997, Ms. Cooper held several executive level positions at Metromedia Communications, which was later acquired by WorldCom. Her most recent position there was Vice President of Operations, Alternative Channels where her efforts led to a double-digit improvement in efficiencies.
