BETHPAGE, N.Y., May 25, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Patricia McMahon, vice president of electronic warfare programs for Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Bethpage-based business unit, was named one of Long Island, N.Y.'s "Top 50 Women of 2004."
The award honors leaders from business, academia, and the nonprofit sector of Long Island, whose local economy exceeds $111 billion and supports nearly two million jobs. The Top 50 Women award program is sponsored by Long Island Business News, a weekly newspaper that serves the local business community.
McMahon joined Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems sector in 2003 following a 25-year career in defense electronics, working for BAE Systems; its predecessor, Hazeltine Corporation; and the Defense Logistics Agency.
McMahon is involved in a number of community and professional activities. She is an active member of the National Contract Management Association, the Navy League and the Association of Old Crows. She also serves currently as chairman of the Town of Babylon, New York, Planning Board.
Ms. McMahon earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from the New York Institute of Technology.
