WHAT: Evolving a nineteen-year event for the next
generation, this year Captain Morgan's Jam
on the River is more musically focused with two
full days of Jam Bands. This annual Memorial Day
tradition draws thousands to the Philadelphia
Waterfront to officially "kick-off" summer.
JAM on the River means marvelous music,
fabulous food, creative crafts and interactive
fun, including an Extreme Game Zone. Visitors to
Jam will be able to check out the NBA Rhythm and
Rims Tour, the Super Soaker stadium tour, or the
Game Stop Road Warrior Tour, will all be available
in the Walnut Street parking lot for free before
you enter or exit the festival.
Tastes of JAM will include mouth-watering menu
highlights like famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks,
or favorites like: south-philly Italian hoagies,
french fries, soft pretzels, and even grilled
cheeses. For those looking for a healthy snack,
there will be grilled vegetables, Greek salad, and
Vegetable wraps available. Everyone's sweet tooth
will be satisfied with Cotton Candy, Kettle Corn
and Deep-Fried Oreos.
