A Prince Against a Witch in New Children's Book


HAMPTON, Va., June 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- In a kingdom far away, a young prince is captured for ransom by the evil ruling witch who dwells in a dreary castle in the Dark Forest. Lyrical and vibrantly illustrated, a new children's book penned by Dennis McDonald entitled Prince Eugene and the Witch features a young prince who must courageously find a way out of his prison cell. He discovers that he is not alone, and together with his friends they take a scary escape out of the witch's castle. But will they succeed?

While they are playing, Prince Eugene and his pony wandered into the Dark Forest. When they are captured by her dark soldiers, the prince is taken as prisoner in exchange for pieces of gold. His pony Flash was able to escape, but Prince Eugene is chained and taken into a dark dungeon. Not long after he finds out that a princess was right in the next cell, and together they attempt to escape before their ransoms are paid.

Inside the castle, Prince Eugene also meets talking fireflies, a wizard who performs magic and loves playing the flute, and a prison guard who is a bulldog. This new children's book will catch the imagination and hearts of young readers with its lyrical prose, colorful illustrations, and unique characters. Prince Eugene and the Witch is a short story filled with adventure and fun.
