Trintech Appoints Dr. Jim Mountjoy to its Board of Directors

Leading IT Executive and Former CEO of Euristix Limited Brings 30 years of Technology and Business Experience to Payment Industry Leader


DUBLIN, Ireland and DALLAS, June 02, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Trintech (Nasdaq:TTPA) (Prime Standard:TTP), a leading provider of transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced the appointment of Dr. Jim Mountjoy as a Non-Executive Director to the Trintech Board.

Dr. Mountjoy joins the Trintech Board bringing 30 years of business and commercial experience in the IT industry. In 1990, he co-founded Euristix Limited, a software development company which specialized in telecommunications signaling systems solutions development. In February 1999, Euristix was acquired by Fore Systems Inc. which was subsequently acquired in April 1999 by GEC, a UK based telecommunications equipment vendor which then changed its name to Marconi.

Dr. Mountjoy currently acts as Non-executive Director in a number of companies in the technology sector; he is a Director of the Science Foundation of Ireland, Chairman of ICT Ireland R&D Advisory Committee and an Advisory Board member of a number of Irish based Venture Capital companies.
